A total of 332 residents of Banke district have died of COVID-19 so far. Likewise, 414 residents of the adjoining districts who arrived in the Banke district for treatment also succumbed to COVID-19.

With the government’s decision to ease the prohibitory orders and expedite vaccination drives across the country, movement of people has increased. Businesses, schools and public spaces are open to the public with large gatherings becoming common in recent days. Although the number of COVID-19 cases is still decreasing, it is difficult to rule out the possibility that it won't increase again any time soon.
