KATHMANDU, May 21: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has called an emergency meeting of its Central Executive Committee on Monday.
The meeting to be held at its central office at Dhumbarahi in the capital city would review the leadership of the party in the wake of unfavorable results in the recently held first phase of the local level election.

According to the RPP Spokesperson, Bhuwan Pathak, the meeting would also deliberate on wide range of contemporary issues including the government's policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2017/18 and far-reaching effects of the constitution amendment among others.
Earlier, the RPP parliamentary party had decided to vote for the endorsement of the constitution amendment proposal but the move prompted differences among the party's office bearers.
The Monday meeting would officially decide on this matter, shared Spokesperson Pathak, adding that the meeting also dwells on devising strategies for the party to secure maximum votes in the second phase of local level election to be held in province no 1, 2, 5 and 7 on June 14.
Pathak added that the necessary actions would be taken against the cadres as well as the leaders who remained inactive during the party's election campaign despite the party's instructions. RSS
