KATHMANDU, Dec 21: CPN (Maoist Centre) has elected new office bearers of Bagmati province committee.


Saral Sahayatri Poudel was elected as the party's Bagmati province chair during an election held on Monday. He secured 162 votes while his nearest rival Dinanath Gautam received 86 votes, according to the CPN (Maoist Centre) Bagmati Province Election Committee.

Those elected as office bearers include Rupa Maharjan, Ram Prasad Dhungana and Prem Bahadur Pulami (vice-chairs), Indra Bahadur Thing (secretary), Dal Bahadur Burlakoti, Madhav Prasad Lamichhane and Prakash Shrestha (joint secretary) and Sangeeta Bhattarai (treasurer), according to Chief of the Election Committee Sundarraj Regmi.


Earlier, the CPN (Maoist Centre) had picked leadership of two geographical and two non-geographical provinces.
