KATHMANDU, April 28: The pair comprising Samrakshak Bhushan Bajracharya and Mayanka Rana lifted the mixed doubles' title in the ongoing Fifth Citizens Bank Open Tennis Tournament on Friday.
In the summit clash held at the National Sports Council (NSC)'s tennis court, the pair of Samrakshak and Mayanka registered 6-3, 6-3 win over the pair of Ira Rawat and Sriram Magar.

Similarly Pradip Shah became the champion in two events including men's singles over 45 age category and men's singles over 55 age category defeating Manoj Bikram Shah and Manoj Rana respectively. In the men's singles over 45 age category, Pradip saw off Manoj Bikram Shah 0-6, 6-3, 10-6 score while he defeated Manoj Rana in the men's singles over 55 age category with 0-6, 6-3, 10-6 score.
Kamal Bhandari lifted the title in the men's singles over 35 age category defeating Mahesh Shrestha in the straight sets of 6-0, 6-0 in the final clash on the same day. Meanwhile, Kamal paired with another finalist Mahesh and defeated the pair of Chhewang Lama and Manoj Bikram Shah in the men's doubles over 35 age final. To become the champion, the pair of Kamal and Mahesh overcame the pair of Chhewang and Manoj Bikram in the straight sets with 6-3, 6-4 score.
On the last day of the tournament on Saturday organized by Kathmandu District Lawn-Tennis Association on the sponsorship of Citizens Bank International, the summit clashes of the men's and women's singles alongside men's singles above 45 age category final will be held.
