Duty is everything

Thirty-four years old Baleshowar Yadav is a traffic police officer. It’s been 11 years in the service and he has always enjoyed his job. He never gets deterred from his duty. He usually works 12 hours a day and sometimes 24 hours in shifts. Dust, smoke or bad weather, nothing hinders him while fulfilling his responsibility. However, he says his work in the valley as traffic police is tough because of the high population density and increasing number of vehicles. He fears having respiratory problem and lung infection as he faces dust and smoke directly every day. He says dust and smoke sometime makes him aggressive but the tension management training has helped him cope with his aggression. Yadav is from Jijhaul, Siraha.
