BIRATNAGAR, April 25: Coronavirus infection has been found in 29 persons in State-1 so far, the Information Desk under the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers here said. The Desk stated that swab samples have been collected from 906 people as of Friday for testing as per the polymerase change reaction (PCR) method. Among them, 243 are women and 663 men. It is said 87 women and 496 men have tested negative for coronavirus as per the PCR test.
Similarly, a total of 4,160 samples have been tested as per the rapid diagnostic test (RDT) method. Among them, 676 samples are collected from women and 3,884 samples collected from men.
Palpa reports first three cases of COVID-19
The number of people living in quarantine facilities constructed by the State government has reached 1,163. Forty-three people have been discharged from quarantine while 30 people are receiving treatment in isolation wards.
Likewise, a total of 5,387 people, including 903 women and 4,484 men, are living in home quarantine.
Meanwhile, the fund collected so far in the Coronavirus Public Security Fund set up by the State-1 government for prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 has reached Rs 287 million 886 thousand so far.
