Team Nepal leaves for India for ITF Taekwondo Championship

KATHMANDU, Aug 1: A 25-member team comprising 14 taekwondo players left for India on Monday to compete in the 7th South Asian International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) Championship.

KATHMANDU, Aug 1: A 25-member team comprising 14 taekwondo players left for India on Monday to compete in the 7th South Asian International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) Championship. 


The team Nepal left for Hyderabad city in Telengana State to participate in the tournament to be held from August 4 to August 6. National Sports Council's Vice-President Shiva Koirala and Nepal ITF Taekwondo Federation member Gopal Shrestha bade farewell to the Nepali players amid a programme on Monday.

Players representing Nepal in the tournament are Leela Kumari Sapkota, Sunil Mahato, Sanchita Shrestha, Tenzing Dawa Tamang, Sabina Tamang, Muna Rai, Ronika Parajuli, Anil Khadka, Roshan Ghising, Binita Thapa Magar, Nirmal Lama, Sahil Dong, Dolma Gurung and Risang Waiba Tamang. 


Likewise, the coaches accompanying the taekwondo players are Ishwor Thapa Magar, Dhanraj Tamang, Saput Moktan and Motilal Ghising. Similarly, Anjana Dhamala, Anju Rawat, Pukar KC, Rup Singh Tamang, Rajesh Balakhe, Tulsi Thapa Magar and Dil Maya Gurung are the umpires who are joining the Nepali team.
