KATHMANDU, June 18: The Embassy of Nepal in Thailand in collaboration with Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the Society of Travel and Tour Operators (SOTTO)–Nepal organized “Nepal Evening 2019: B2B Tourism Event” in Bangkok.
Addressing the function held on Friday, Nepali Ambassador to Thailand Ganesh Prasad Dhakal shed light on the prospects of tourism cooperation between Nepal and Thailand and called on the Thai investors for investing in tourism sector of Nepal. He requested the Nepali travel/tour operators to publicize the tourism attractions of Nepal among the Thai people and encourage them to visit Nepal in order to make the government's campaign of Visit Nepal Year 2020 a success.

Also speaking on the occasion, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ghanashyam Upadhyay spoke about the tourism attractions of Nepal and called upon the business entrepreneurs to explore the business opportunities in Nepal.
Suman Ghimire of Nepal Tourism Board made a presentation on “Tourism in Nepal”, and tourism entrepreneur Bikram Pandey made a presentation on “Lumbini: Buddhist Circuit”.
President of NRNA-NCC Thailand Assajita Awale and President of SOTTO-Nepal Madhusudan Upadhyay also spoke on the occasion. During the programme, businesspersons from both the countries had a productiveB2B session. Nepali cultural performances were also presented and promotional materials were distributed, according to a press statement issued by the Embassy of Nepal in Thailand.
A significant number of travel/tour operators from Nepal and Thailand, representatives of various organizations of Thailand, representatives of NRNA and officials of the embassy participated in the program.
