Two arrested with illegal drugs

UDAYAPUR, May 28: Police arrested two men in possession of contraband narcotic drugs from Triyuga Municipality-5, Udayapur, on Saturday evening.

UDAYAPUR, May 28: Police arrested two men in possession of contraband narcotic drugs from Triyuga Municipality-5, Udayapur, on Saturday evening.


A police patrol from the District Police Office (DPO) arrested  39-year-old Sanjay Kumar Jha and 40-year-old Sanjiv Katuwal of Triyuga Municipality-4 when they were going from Damauti to Gaighat on their motorbike (Sa 4 Pa 3101), carrying the illegal drugs.

According to the DPO chief, Superintendent of Police (SP) Chandradev Rai, a variety of 42 narcotic items including Lupigesic (14 ampules), Diazelab (14 ampules), and Fenargan (14 ampules) were recovered from the arrestees. 


“We have intensified patrolling and security checks of late. This has reduced criminal activities in the district," added SP Rai.
