Two COVID-19 patients, 56 and 83, die at BPKIHS

MORANG, Aug 28: Two COVID-19 patients have died in Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS). They were 56 and 83.

MORANG, Aug 28: Two COVID-19 patients have died in Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS). They were 56 and 83. 


A 56-year-old woman from Belbari-5 in Morang district breathed her last at 3:14AM on Friday, according to BPKIHS spokesperson Dr Nidesh Sapkota. The woman had suffered from terrible cough, high fever and respiratory complications.

An 83-year-old male from Kamal Rural Municipality breathed his last while undergoing treatments. He was suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney problems for a while, according to his family members. He was diagnosed with the virus on August 19.


As of Thursday evening, Province 1 reported 3,023 coronavirus cases of which 1,491 patients have been discharged. The Province still has 1,512 active cases.
