Two girls missing from Myagdi district headquarters Beni

MYAGDI, March 17: Two girls have gone missing from Benibazar, the district headquarters of Myagdi since Wednesday evening. According to the family, Priyanka Kumari Shah, 15. and Susma Kumari Shah, 13, of Indian origin, who were living with their family in Kalipul Bus Park, have gone missing.

MYAGDI, March 17: Two girls have gone missing from Benibazar, the district headquarters of Myagdi since Wednesday evening. According to the family, Priyanka Kumari Shah, 15. and Susma Kumari Shah, 13, of Indian origin, who were living with their family in Kalipul Bus Park, have gone missing.


Sunil Kumar Shah, the brother of the missing girls, said that search was underway for the two sisters who had left the house on Wednesday evening on the basis of information that they were going to Birgunj via Pokhara. “There was a simple argument in the house. I appeal for your help in the search,” said Shah. Police have launched a search operation on the basis of the family's request.

Similarly, Shah said that a driver had provided the information that they had reached Pokhara from Kalipul and the sisters were headed for India. According to the police, despite the search operation being underway, the whereabouts of the missing girls could not be ascertained till Thursday morning.  As the sisters could reach Raxaul to go to India, a search is being conducted in that area.


The girls studying in India were enrolled in Balmandir Basic School in Kalipul only two weeks ago. Myagdi police are also coordinating with the police posts in the border areas to search for the missing girls.
