RAJBIRAJ, Dec 7:The District Court, Saptari has convicted two people for a rape attempt, sentencing each of them with three and half years jail term.
Those convicts are Jibachha Ram, 35, of Bishnupur rural municipality-5 and Isarail Miya, 30 of Bishnupur-3.

Earlier, the District Police Office, Saptari on March 11 received a complaint of rape against the two. They had been accused of raping a woman who was returning home from a wedding function in the village on March 9.
In response to the complaint, the Nepal Police arrested them from Bihar, India with the help of the Indian police.
The court said that the case of rape against the two could not be proved and it was converted into attempted gang rape.
