Two including Indian nat’l held with narcotics

BHAKTAPUR, Dec 31: Police have arrested two people including an Indian national with a large cache of illegal drugs from Suryabinayak municipality on Monday.

BHAKTAPUR, Dec 31: Police have arrested two people including an Indian national with a large cache of illegal drugs from Suryabinayak municipality on Monday.


The arrested are 49-year-old Laxmi Sahi, of Banke Kohalpur municipality, currently staying at Ekata Tole in Suryabinayak municipality-5 and Indian national Amit Kumar, 25, of Bihar State of India,  informed Metropolitan Police Range Office, Bhaktapur.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle, Jagati seized nine ampoules of narcotics –300 tablets of Nurofen, 300 ampoules of phenergan, and 300 ampoules of diazepam – along with Rs 48,000 cash from their possession, Rewati Raman Regmi, spokesperson of the Metropolitan Police Range Office, Bhaktapur, told Republica Online.


Police said they are investigating the case after taking them on a remand under drug-trafficking charge.
