Two injured in bear attack, one in critical condition

KIMATHANKA (SANKHUWASABHA), Aug 31: Two persons were injured after coming under attack by a wild bear at Bhotekhola rural municipality-4 in Sankhuwasabha on Wednesday.


Prem Gurung, 46, and Rajman Rai, 26, of Bhotekhola rural municipality-4 under Makalu Barun National Park were injured, said Chairperson of the rural municipality, Wanchhedar Bhote.

They have suffered injuries to their face, head, leg and hands from the bear attack. Of the injured, the condition of Rai is reported to be critical and preparation is underway to take him to Kathmandu from Gola Community Health Centre for further treatment.
