Two killed, one injured as school bus hits motorcycle

BUTWAL, Dec 2: Two people were killed while one other was injured after a school bus hit a motorcycle in Rupandehi on Saturday.


According to DSP Manohar Bhatt, spokesperson at District Police Office Rupandehi, 21-year-old Mohammad Irsad and 21-year-old Ruksana Khatun, who were riding the motorcycle, were killed when the bus (Lu 1 Ka 1778) of Siddharth Boarding School hit the motorcycle (Lu 37 Pa 8482)  from behind in Lumbini Cultural Municipality-4, Mahuwari this morning.

According to the police, two people riding a motorcycle died on the spot, while 20-year old Apsara Khatun was seriously injured in the accident. Injured Khatun is being treated at Bhairahawa.


Irate locals have set ablaze the bus that hit the motorcycle.
