Two youths killed when bus hits motorcycle in Butwal

BUTWAL, June 4: Two youths died in a road accident that took place on Saturday in Tamnagar, Butwal sub-metropolitan city-12 along the East-West Highway.


According to police, the bus with a registration number Lu 1 Ka 9063 en route to Kapilvastu from Butwal and a motorcycle with the registration number Lu 39 Pa 9157 on its way to Butwal collided head on near the Korean Technical College in Tamnagar.

17-year-old Sujan Aryal of Gulmi Malika Rural Municipality-4 Arkhwang and 26-year-old Prakash Panthi of Malika Rural Municipality-8 Simaltari died in the accident, according to Police Inspector Amrit Bhandari at Lumbini Province Police Office in Butwal.


Police Inspector Bhandari said that both the injured youths died during treatment at Lumbini Provincial Hospital Butwal. Police have arrested the driver of the bus.
