UML candidate Silwal elected Siddhalek Rural Municipality chief

DHADING, May 17: UML candidate Prem  Nath Silwal has been elected as chief of Siddhalek Rural Municipality.

DHADING, May 17: UML candidate Prem  Nath Silwal has been elected as chief of Siddhalek Rural Municipality.


He has secured 5,607 votes. His closest rival of Nepali Congress Badri Aryal got 3,682 votes.

Silwal was the then VDC chairperson of 2054 BS.   He is also an outgoing chairperson of Dhading District Hospital. He had served as a government teacher for 19 years. Until recently, Silwal had been working in the capacity of CPN-UML District Party secretary.


For the post of deputy chief, UML‘s Kamal Sharma has been elected as   deputy chief with 5, 544 votes.


Her closest rival NC candidate Laxmi Silwal got 3, 865 votes. UML has won entire seats except ward No. 5 in Siddhalek Rural Municipality.
