LAMJUNG, April 27: With just 17 days to go before the date of local-level elections, CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) have formed a working alliance in the district.
Organizing a press meet on Thursday, the two parties decided to move ahead by forming a working alliance during the local-level polls.

“Expressing commitment toward national development, consolidation of the democratic republic and comprehensive development of the district, the two parties have forged a working alliance,” reads the press release issued today.
Of the total four municipalities and four rural municipalities, UML will have five chiefs and CPN (Maoist Center) will have three chiefs, according to the agreement.
The working alliance is necessary because it is not possible to fulfill the aspirations of the people and enrich the country with communists divided, said UML District Chairman Dhananjaya Dawadi.
CPN-UML Central Committee member Mayanath Adhikari, UML lawmakers Jamindra Man Ghale, Tuka Bhadra Hamal, Dr. Bhishma Nath Adhikari, Maoist leader Buddhiman Tamu, District Secretary Madhu Adhikari, among others, were present in the meeting.
