UML SC meet decides to intensify protest over amendment bill

KATHMANDU, Dec 15: The main opposition CPN-UML has said the party is ever ready to find a solution to existing political imbroglio in the country through election.



The Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the party that took place at its central office, Dhumbarahi today insisted on the need of political stability and economic and social progress to find a ground for the effective enforcement of the constitution.

The meeting drew the attention of the government towards creating atmosphere conducive to hold the election on the basis of political consensus by withdrawing the constitution amendment bill. More, the meeting ended with the decision of intensifying party's ongoing protest over the amendment bill at the House and in the street, as stated by party Secretary and Publicity Department Chief Yogesh Bhattarai in a press note issued after the meeting.
