BHOJPUR, July 4: An unidentified group on Tuesday evening vandalized and torched the ward office of Tyamkemaiyung Rural Municipality-1, in Bhojpur district.
The group entered into the ward office by breaking the padlock and damaged the furniture and torched important documents of the office. A computer, printer, internet kits, table and other important documents inside the office of the ward chief were damaged by the group, according to Inspector Pandav Rajbanshi.
Ward chief attacked in Bajura
It has been learnt that the group also took away a laptop from the ward office with them. Chief District Officer (CDO) Nurhari Khatiwada informed Republica that security has been tightened in the area following the incident. Security personnel of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force have been deployed in the area since early morning.
On the same day, a suspicious object was found near Saudachowk of the district headquarters of Bhojpur. By the time this news was written, a team of Nepal Army was preparing to dispose the suspicious object.
