KASKI, Sept 11: On the occasion of the Haritalika Teej festival, a national women's and men's volleyball tournament is to be held at Lamachaur in Pokhara.
Navaadarsa Community Development Society is organizing the volleyball tournament along with the Teej festival celebrations. The volleyball tournament will be held at the playground of Indra Rajya Lakshmi Secondary School in Lamachaur from September 16 to 18.
New Diamond, APF make winning start
Four teams under the women's category and five teams under the men's category will participate in the volleyball tournament, said president of the society, Swagat Singh Bhandari.
The teams taking part in the tournament include APF Club, Nepal Police Club, New Diamond Youth Sports Club and New Everest Volleyball Club Butwal, Manimukunda Volleyball Club Butwal, Galkot Sports Club Baglung and Gandaki.
The winner, runner-up and third place teams in the volleyball competition will receive Rs 150,111, Rs 100,111 and Rs 50,11,1 respectively.
Inter-school level folk dance competition and inter-female group open Teej song competition are the other attractions of the event.
