According to them, certain votes cast for FSFN deputy mayoral candidate was added to the total number of votes cast for CPN-UML deputy mayoral candidate.

“The Election Commission representatives without knowledge about how to calculate votes have been mobilized in the name of expediting the vote counting process. It is likely to influence election result”, Sujendra Gole, Nepali Congress leader, told Republica Online. He added, “ They have not been given a calculator. They have been obliged to calculate votes using their hand”.
