BHARATPUR (Chitwan), Dec 17: A Ward member of Madi municipality-2, Jiblal Luintel, 60, has died in a road accident. The accident took place when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a vehicle at Ward No. 1 of the municipality on Saturday evening.

Spokesman at the District Police Office, Chitwan, Bijayraj Pandit, shared that the motorcycle (BaPRa0304Pa 8917), that ward member Luintel was riding was hit by a tractor coming from the opposite direction. The tractor driver escaped following the incident. Police said an investigation into the accident is underway.
Luintel was elected ward member from the Nepali Congress party.
