Weeklong lockdown in three wards of Sindhuli district

SINDHULI, April 23: Dudhauli Municipality of Sindhuli district has decided to enforce a weeklong lockdown in three of its wards in order to contain the further spread of COVID-19.

SINDHULI, April 23: Dudhauli Municipality of Sindhuli district has decided to enforce a weeklong lockdown in three of its wards in order to contain the further spread of COVID-19.


A meeting of the municipality office-bearers held on Thursday decided to enforce a weeklong lockdown in wards 1, 2 and 4 starting from Friday, according to Mayor Ganashyam Raut.

Only emergency services like ambulances and fire brigades, health offices and grocery shops will be allowed to operate in the area during this period. Public vehicles, schools, hotels and restaurants have been barred to operate during the lockdown.


The municipality has also warned of action if anyone is found defying the lockdown order.
