CHITWAN, May 21: At least three people were killed and one was injured in an auto-rickshaw crash due to a storm in Chitwan on Friday evening. They were killed in accidents at different places.
According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, two passengers of an auto rickshaw heading to Bhojad from Bharatpur died on the spot while another died on the way to Bhojad from Bharatpur.

According to Narahari Adhikari, Information Officer of the police office, the accident took place when the tree fell over the auto-rickshaw due to the strong storm. He said that the injured were rescued and brought to the hospital for treatment.
Adhikari also mentioned that trees and poles have fallen in different parts of the district due to the strong winds. Inner roads and parts of highways have been blocked as a result of the wind storm. Further details of the incident are still awaited, he said.
