KALAILA, Oct 23: A woman was arrested by Bara police from near the no man’s land of Nepal-India border while she was transporting hashish from Nepal to India.

The arrested has been identified as Lalsa Devi Rauniyar, 41, of Parsa Pokhariya Municipality-4, Satwariya, according to Police Inspector Surendra Yadav. Rauniyar had seven kilos of hashish in 14 bags strapped to her thighs. The market value of the seized hashish is more than Rs 500,000.
The arrested woman has been remanded in custody for seven days by the district court, according to the police.
