BANKE, March 11: A woman was killed when a tipper truck (Ra 1 Kha 2188) hit a bicycle she was riding near Piparichowk in Kohalpur municipality-8 in the district today.
The deceased identified as Rampati Tharu, 45, of Kohalpur-9 died on the way to Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur, said the police, adding that the tipper driver and the tipper have been taken under control, and investigations were underway.

Meanwhile, the deceased's family and local people obstructed Kohalpur-Nepalgunj road in protest, demanding action against the driver and compensation for the deceased's family.
