KATHMANDU, March 23: Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa has said that the younger generation in the country is currently in the most panicked situation. He expressed concern that the youth are not able to believe that something good is happening in the country, that there is a good future for them in the country.
Speaking at a program organized to mark the 17th General Assembly of Community Radio Broadcasters Association and National Conference of Community Radios on Thursday, Thapa said that the government needs to understand the importance of time to communicate hope to the young generation.

"Today in our country, no one can believe that youth have a good future here, everyone just wants to run away. No one can hope that today will be better than yesterday, and that tomorrow will be better than today,'' he said. “In fact, the situation is not that much worse, so community radios should play a role in creating a situation where people can go to bed hoping that things are going well in the country while they are sleeping at home.”
He said that he had never seen young girls as scared as they are now. "I have never seen so many young women so scared. I am not trying to scare anyone, but what I am feeling while working, I am saying that now the younger generations, who are considered the future of the country, are very scared," he said.
