ITAHARI, Aug 8: At least 14 people were injured when a passenger bus met with an accident along the Koshi Highway in Tarahra, Itahari-2.
The bus with registration number Me 1 Kha 2740, en route to Kakarbhitta from Dharan hit a divider placed in the middle of the road in Tarahra at 9:30AM on Tuesday and the passengers on the bus were injured. According to the Koshi Province Highway Safety and Traffic Management Office, Itahari, all the injured are receiving treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.

It is said that the bus over-speeded and overturned due to rainy weather conditions. The police are currently searching for the bus driver and the conductor who are absconding.
