KATHMANDU, June 18: Two laborers have been rescued from the flood-affected area in Sankhuwasabha. Additionally, 15 laborers, who were working at the Super Hewa Khola Hydropower Project, are reported missing due to the flood triggered by the incessant rainfall last night.
Among the 17 missing laborers, two individuals have been found in critical condition, according to Chief of District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha, DSP Birendra Godar. According to him, Tikaram Chaudhary, 24, and Deepak Raj Tharu, 35, who were working at the Super Hewa Khola Hydropower Project in Bardia Municipality-7, have been found in a critical condition.

District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha said that both the injured persons are being treated at Primary Health Center in Sankhuwasabha, Chainpur.
Seven houses along the banks of the Hewa Khola have been swept away by the flood that followed the incessant rainfall last night. DSP Godar stated that the flood has completely damaged the Super Hewa Hydro Project that was under construction in Chainpur-4.
According to him, the flood has also caused damage to the under-construction bridge connecting Panchkapan and Chainpur. The Area Police Office in Chainpur and a team of Armed Police Force (APF) personnel have been deployed to the incident site for the search and rescue of the missing individuals.
