DHADING, Aug 16: Twenty-eight more people including the medical superintendent of the Chitwan-based Bharatpur Hospital, Dr Shree Ram Tiwari, have tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was detected in 27 individuals from Chitwan and one from Sarlahi.
Of the 28 new cases detected, three are doctors and one is a health worker, according to chairman of the Hospital Development Committee, Dr Bhojraj Adhikari.

As many as 474 throat swab samples were tested for COVID-19. Of them, 28 came out to be positive.
Twenty-one people -10 males and 11 females - who have contracted the virus are from Bharatpur Municipality-3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 12, 15, and 21 alone.
Similarly, four people from Ratnanagar Municipality-5 and 12 and two from Khaireni Municipality-8 also tested positive for the virus.
After witnessing COVID-19 at the community level in Chitwan, the local administration has enforced curfew orders till Aug 21 in a bid to curb the further spread of the virus.
