COVID-19 infection rate of Nepal up by 228 percent than last week
KATHMANDU, April 28: Nepal recorded as many as 4,897 new cases and 17 deaths related to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 4,774 people tested positive through PCR tests and 123 through antigen tests.
Nepal records 272 new cases, eight deaths on Friday
As many as 13,879 people underwent PCR tests and 955 antigen tests across the country in the past 24 hours.
Likewise, the number of COVID-19 patients in the country has risen by 12,580 since last Monday.
There are currently 30,209 active cases of COVID-19 across the country.
Similarly, 317 COVID-19 patients are in ICU and 98 are on ventilators across the country.
According to the MoHP, the COVID-19 infection rate has risen by 228 percent in just a week which is far higher than the infection rate of India.
Also, 773 people who had earlier tested positive for COVID-19 recovered in the past 24 hours. Nepal’s COVID-19 recovery rate as of Wednesday afternoon is 89.3 percent.
