KATHMANDU, Oct 22: A series of aftershocks originating from Dhading have been reported, following an initial 6.1 magnitude earthquake that struck at 7:39AM. The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center has recorded three aftershocks with a magnitude greater than 4.
4.2 Magnitude quake strikes Dhading
According to the center, the first aftershock measured 4.2 in magnitude and occurred at 8:08 AM, followed by a 4.3 magnitude aftershock at 8:28 AM, another measuring 4.1 at 8:59 AM, and a final one with a magnitude of 4.4 at 4:00 PM.
The morning earthquake resulted in damage to the homes of 18 families in Dhading and was felt in the Kathmandu Valley and surrounding areas.
