KATHMANDU, Jan 2: Lawyers affiliated with the Nepal Bar Association (NBA) have continued their protest outside the Supreme Court, demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana.
The agitated lawyers and office-bearers affiliated with the NBA and Supreme Court Bar Association protested by wearing black ribbons around their arms on Sunday. Talking to media persons, Chairman Chandeshwor Shrestha of the NBA clarified that protests were being held to end the distortion and inconsistency in the judiciary.
Lawyers continue to protest outside Supreme Court
He said that CJ Rana should resign from his post immediately to administer justice in a fearless, independent, and fair manner from the judiciary. Furthermore, Chairman Shrestha warned of intensifying the protest further unless their demands were met.
