KATHMANDU, Feb 13: The Supreme Court is set to hear all kinds of cases from today (Sunday). The service was suspended in view of increasing COVID-19 cases in the country.
A full court meeting held last week decided to resume the service, which was suspended due to the adverse situation caused by the new variant of coronavirus, on a regular basis from February 13. Due to the COVID-19, the SC services were limited.
CJ Rana assigns hearings on all types of cases at SC
According to the SC administration, it was decided to limit the daily service of the Supreme Court as not all the manpower could be present in the court due to the risk of the transmission of the virus. The apex court held regular hearings only on urgent cases including habeas corpus.
The apex court decided to resume regular service as the COVID-19 infection has subsided lately. The court has been deciding the daily case through a round of lottery system.
