Kathmandu, April 12: Nepal Police has arrested a district-level judge at the Judicial Council.
Judge Bhuwan Giri was held from Gongabu area in Kathmandu on Tuesday and was sent to Kapilbastu district on Tuesday itself, Superintendent of Police (SP) Sitaram Rijal of District Police Range Kathmandu confirmed.

Giri was arrested following an arrest warrant issued by the Kapilbastu District Court based on a petition filed by his spouse Arati on marital rape case.
The police in Kapilbastu district have been carrying out investigations into the case.
