Targeting the candidates, Acharya wrote, “Some people do you favors you can never forget. Some of us have deep friendships. Some of us have been tied into relationships. When there is an election in the country, those people whom we have friendships, relationships and intimate relationships with, become candidates.”
He further stated, “At that time, it is human nature for us to have some hope of getting help in the election, asking for votes in one’s favor. But we are common people of all political parties, all candidates. It is a matter of self-discretion to choose who to vote for.”
He said, “This is our obligation. Therefore, keeping the friendship, closeness and relationship sacred, I request you not to expect an election campaign from us in the election.”
The country is going to hold elections to the House of Representatives and provincial assemblies on November 20. Candidacy registration is over and the Election Commission will publish the final list on Wednesday.
