Calling all the short film makers

If you are a film enthusiast who is also keen on film making then submitting your film at Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF), might help you win cash prizes. KIMFF has opened submissions for short film contest ‘Partiwaritit Nepal’ which will take place in Kathmandu from December 11 to December 15 in Kathmandu.

If you are a film enthusiast who is also keen on film making then submitting your film at Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF), might help you win cash prizes. KIMFF has opened submissions for short film contest ‘Partiwaritit Nepal’ which will take place in Kathmandu from December 11 to December 15 in Kathmandu.


The festival aims at reflecting on how Nepali has experienced the momentous social and political changes that have taken place in our recent past as per a press statement issued by KIMFF. It stated that to be eligible for the contest, one can submit a film which is created under three minute’s duration. Moreover, it can be fiction, documentary or short animation.

The submission form and regulations for the festival is available on the festival’s official website kimff.org. On the basis of originality and topical relevance on the selected theme, three best films will be awarded by trophy and cash prize. The winner will receive Rs 40,000 while first and second runner up will bag Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively. 


Moreover, the ‘Top 10 Shorts’ will be screened at Kimff  2019 which will also be included in Travelling Kimff  2020.
