KATHMANDU, April 29: A section of conflict victims and civil society members staged demonstration in the capital on Monday demanding a credible transitional justice in Nepal.


During their demonstration at Maitighar Mandala on Monday morning, the conflict victims and civil society members urged the government to amend the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act in line with the Supreme Court orders and international standards.

The activists urged the government to constitute the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Commission and Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons only after making necessary amendment to the TRC act.


The participants also lamented over the prolonged transitional justice in Nepal while calling one and all not to remain indifferent to deepening culture of impunity in the country.
