KATHMANDU, Nov 21: Victims of decade-long armed conflict have staged a demonstration in the capital on Thursday.
On the occasion of 13th anniversary of the signing of Comprehensive Peace Accord (CPA), the war-victims thronged Maitighar Mandala demanding to make the status of those who had been disappeared during the decade-long Maoist conflict public at the earliest.

They also urged the government to compensate the victims and take stern action against those involved in gross human rights violations.
President of Conflict Victims’ Common Platform Bhagiram Chaudhary said that they protested against the government demanding justice to the victims and take action against the guilty.
Chaudhary blamed the government for ignoring justice to the conflict victims even 13 years after the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement. On the occasion, he also drew the attention of the government not to make any inordinate delay in the formation process of Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons (CIEDP) .
