COVID-19: Nepal reports 2,328 new cases, 3,066 recoveries and 19 deaths

KATHMANDU, July 3: Officials said that 3,066 more patients recovered from the coronavirus disease across the country on Saturday. 


The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its daily media release said that of the 681,136 cases confirmed so far, 94.3 percent of patients have so far got over the deadly infection.

Meanwhile, the officials confirmed 2,328 new cases of the disease, meaning Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has surged to  681,136 --- 643,580 detected through the RT-PCR tests and 37,556 others through the antigen tests. 


Nepal on Saturday conducted 10,133 tests including 5,837 PCR and 4,926 antigen tests. 


The ministry shared that 19 people died of COVID-19 disease on Saturday. With this, Nepal’s corona fatality tally stands at 9,198.
