CPN (Unified Socialist) recalls its cabinet ministers, recommends new names for ministerial appointments

KATHMANDU, June 5: The ruling coalition partner CPN (Unified Socialist) has recalled all ministers from the cabinet and recommended new names for the appointment to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

KATHMANDU, June 5: The ruling coalition partner CPN (Unified Socialist) has recalled all ministers from the cabinet and recommended new names for the appointment to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.


A meeting of the party's secretariat held on Sunday decided to recall current cabinet ministers in the Deuba-led cabinet and send new leaders to the posts.

Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal submitted the names of five candidates to Prime Minister Deuba for the appointment as ministers. Sources close to Nepal said the Unified Socialist has recommended Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Metmani Chaudhary, Sher Bahadur Kunwar and Hira Chandra KC as the new ministers.


The party has recommended Bhavani Khapung, who is currently serving as Minister of State for Health, as Minister of Health and Population and Jeevan Ram Shrestha as Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.


Similarly, Metmani Chaudhary has been recommended as Minister of Urban Development and Sher Bahadur Kunwar as Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security.  The party has recommended Hira KC as the Minister of State for Health and Population.
