KATHMANDU, Dec 29: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Thag Bahadur KC of the Area Police Office, Butwal, has been suspended for taking bribes from gold traders.
A police source confirmed that the Ministry of Home Affairs suspended KC on Thursday upon the recommendation of the Police Headquarters.

An investigation launched by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police had found that KC had recovered 35 tolas of gold from the businessmen and was bargaining for money instead of initiating legal action against the businessmen.
The Lumbini State Police Office recommended the suspension of KC to the Police Headquarters and the headquarters recommended to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
