RUKUM, Aug 15: A man has gruesomely murdered his own son and his younger brother in Musikot Municipality in the district on Wednesday.
According to police, Shankar Bista, 36, Musikot Municipality-14, Loribang, killed his six-year-old son Sudarshan Bista and his younger brother Gokarna Bista, 16.
Shankar attacked his son and his brother with a khukukri when his wife had gone to a stone spout nearby to fetch water today morning.

Similarly, he also injured his other two sons – Prakash Bista, 13, and Dinesh Bista, 10, - with a sharp weapon.
Slain Gokarna was handicapped, DSP Sumit Khadka of District Police Office told Republica Online.
Shankar also tried to commit suicide after killing his son and brother.
However, the reason behind committing such an inhumane crime is yet to be investigated.
Police have started investigating the case after taking Shankar under control.
