Dhrupad Center Nepal organized, Indian classical singer, Pandit Uday Bhawalkar's solo musical program at Nepal Sanskritik Sansthan , Jamal on Friday. Dhrupad is one of the oldest forms of North Indian classical music. And its significance lies in inducing feelings of peace and contemplation in the listener.

And Pandit Bhawalkar has spent over 12 years studying and living in the traditional guru-shiskya parampara with Ustad Zia Fariduddin Dagar (vocal) and Ustad Zia Mohiuddin Dagar (Rudra-Veena), the towering pillars of the Dhrupad tradition as per a press statement released by Dhrupad Center Nepal.
Moreover, he also conducted five-day Dhrupad singing workshop from Saturday to Wednesday at Falaicha Spot, Kalikasthan. According to the press statement a total of 35 participants were present at the workshop.
Quoting musician and founder of Dhrupad Center Nepal, Shree KC the press statement stated, "Learning from an established artist like him always help singers to experience Raag in their music and help them to understand music in deeper level."
