Four arrested in Kapilvastu with brown sugar

KAPILVASTU, Sept 21: In a targeted operation, the police conducted a raid in Banganga Municipality-7, Gherawa Banagai, Kapilvastu, leading to the arrest of four individuals involved in the illegal trade of the contraband brown sugar.

KAPILVASTU, Sept 21: In a targeted operation, the police conducted a raid in Banganga Municipality-7, Gherawa Banagai, Kapilvastu, leading to the arrest of four individuals involved in the illegal trade of the contraband brown sugar.


Acting on a special tip-off, the police arrested 36-year-old Gyan Raj Pariyar in possession of 1.290 grams of brown sugar. Police Inspector Gopal Rayamajhi, stationed at the area police office, disclosed that Pariyar is the primary suspect in a long-running drug distribution operation within Banganga Municipality.

In addition to Pariyar, the police detained Sajid Chhetri, Dev GC, and Akash Pariyar, and discovered more than 30 packets of brown sugar concealed inside a plastic container. These dealers were known for supplying the narcotic drug to users in the area.


Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganga Bahadur Thapa stated that the court has authorized an extended investigation related to narcotics. This recent operation follows the arrest of four drug dealers in Suddhodan Rural Municipality and Banganga Municipality on September 14.
