Jazeera Airlines resumes its flights from GBIA

KATHMANDU, March 10: Jazeera Airlines has resumed its flights to and from the Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) after a hiatus of two and a half months.

KATHMANDU, March 10: Jazeera Airlines has resumed its flights to and from the Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) after a hiatus of two and a half months.


The Kuwaiti airline conducted the flight on Thursday morning with its aircraft landing at 7:15AM at the airport with 66 passengers. The plane took off at 8:05AM with 93 passengers on board.

The airline had been flying regularly to Kuwait from the GBIA since the airport came into commercial operation on May 16 last year. It stopped its operation from December 21 citing weather issues.


According to the airport’s Spokesperson Subash Jha, Jazeera has scheduled its flights on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday every week. The airline has fixed its one-way ticket fare at Rs 28,836 en route Bhairahawa-Kuwait.
