China agrees to designate eight new destinations for Nepali airlines


China has agreed to designate eight new destinations in China for flights operated by Nepali airlines. According to a press release issued by Embassy of Nepal in Beijing, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding to this effect.

Chairperson of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed solidarity with Cuban people who have been struggling with the sanctions imposed by the United States for several decades.

ICAO conference from August 19



A conference of aviation director generals of International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) is taking place in Kathmandu from August 19-23. Director-General of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Rajan Pokharel, informed about this. Aviation director generals of concerned countries of Asia Pacific region would participate in the conference. There would also be a participation of ICAO chair and security officers in the conference. There are 193 members including Nepal in ICAO.

Boris Johnson promised on Thursday that Brexit would make Britain the greatest place on earth, echoing the patriotic rhetoric of U.S. President Donald Trump in his first speech to parliament as prime minister. Johnson, who was hailed by the U.S. president as Britain’s Trump, has promised to strike a new divorce deal with the European Union and to energise the world’s fifth-largest economy after what he casts as the gloom of Theresa May’s premiership.


Arsenal's Ozil and Kolasinac escape knife-wielding attackers



Mesut Ozil and Arsenal teammate Sead Kolasinac escaped unhurt after an attempted carjacking by knife-wielding attackers in North London on Thursday, British media reported.
