Manpower owner arrested for cheating youths out of more than Rs 40 million

KATHMANDU, July 5: Police has arrested a manpower company owner after a scam of millions of rupees.

KATHMANDU, July 5: Police has arrested a manpower company owner on the charge of swindling youths who have a dream to go abroad for employment opportunity out of millions of rupees.


The team of police personnel deployed from the Metropolitan Police Range based in Maharajgunj on Friday arrested Chabilal Kumar Rai, the owner of Eagle Hunter Overseas Services based in Samakhusi Town Planning area from the capital.

Rai has been accused of swindling many youths who depended upon him to work in Malta and Seychelles out of more than Rs. Forty million.


According to DSP Phadindra Prasain, Rai had been cheating gullible youths interested in going to Malta and Seychelles for employment opportunity out of money they paid to him.


People filed cases against him after they were not sent by the company to the two countries.
