KATHMANDU, Oct 3: A day after CPN-UML, CPN (Maoist Center) and Naya Shakti party formed a broader leftist alliance and announced to unify the parties after upcoming polls, Nepali Congress has started discussion with various other political parties with a plan to forge electoral alliance in the upcoming central and provincial parliaments.
During the meeting of the party's Central Working Committee, which is underway at the prime minister's official residence Baluwatar, some of the leaders speaking at the meeting expressed their suspicion over possible obstacles that the party might face during the elections in the aftermath of other three left parties forming the alliance , informed NC leader Bimalendra Nidhi.

“As a major ruling CPN (MC), holding home ministry, has already joined the left alliance, it is impossible to hold the elections, at a time when democratic forces are focused on implementation of constitution and democracy through the election”, said Nidhi.
“The fresh polarization has hampered the election environment in the country. Without formation of new government, the possibility of the election is implausible”, added Nidhi.
To discuss the new political development following the decision on electoral alliance between the three leftist parties, PM Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to hold a meeting with leaders of various parties including FSFN, RPP, RPP-Democratic, Nepal Democratic Forum and RJP-N later on Wednesday.
